Every child learns differently. Some young people need extra support to build confidence in core academic skills. Others think creatively, move constantly, ask big questions, or learn best when lessons are connected to real life.
SATORI is a tutoring service in the British Virgin Islands designed to support learners who may be struggling, losing confidence, or simply needing a different approach.
We combine personalised academic tutoring with outdoor education, experiential learning, and project-based activities that help bring lessons to life. Rather than learning only from a screen or a worksheet, young people have opportunities to explore ideas through nature, community, practical challenges, and hands-on discovery.
The BVI offers an incredible environment for this kind of learning. Beaches, trails, reefs, gardens, historic sites, and local businesses can all become meaningful places to practise reading, writing, maths, science, problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking.
SATORI works alongside each family’s chosen educational pathway, whether that includes homeschooling, online learning, school-based education, or additional academic support outside regular lessons. Our role is to complement and strengthen that learning through thoughtful tutoring, mentoring, and real-world experiences.
At SATORI, learning is not just about completing assignments or preparing for tests. It is about helping young people grow in confidence, curiosity, resilience, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
Whether we are exploring marine life, building a shelter, measuring coastal change, writing stories outdoors, or using practical projects to understand maths and science, our aim is simple: to help learners connect with their studies, with themselves, and with the world around them.
