SATORI’s after-school clubs are designed to give young people something active, meaningful, confidence-building, and completely different from the usual after-school routine.
We currently focus on two core clubs: BUSH CAMP and ROCK CLIMBING.
Both are carefully chosen because they support the whole child — not just physically, but emotionally and socially too.
These clubs are especially valuable for young people who need movement, challenge, confidence, independence, and time outdoors. For children who have spent much of the day sitting still, concentrating, or trying to keep up, our after-school sessions offer space to reset, move, breathe, explore, and succeed in a different way.

Bush Camp is one of the most exciting parts of SATORI. Inspired by Forest School principles, it gives young people the chance to build practical outdoor skills while developing confidence, resilience, teamwork, problem-solving, and independence.
This is not just outdoor play. Bush Camp helps children learn how to assess risk, make decisions, work together, use tools safely, solve practical problems, and trust themselves.
Activities may include shelter building, knot tying, safe tool use, fire safety, outdoor cooking, navigation, tracking, nature observation, campcraft, creative projects, and team challenges.
For many learners, this kind of experience is transformative. A child who struggles with confidence in the classroom may discover they are brilliant at building, leading, noticing details, organising a team, or staying calm during a challenge.
Bush Camp gives young people the chance to feel capable.
It also supports important life skills that parents want for their children: patience, perseverance, responsibility, cooperation, resourcefulness, emotional regulation, and respect for nature.
In a world where children spend more and more time indoors and on screens, Bush Camp offers something rare and valuable: real adventure, real skills, real friendships, and real confidence.
SATORI is also introducing rock climbing as an after-school club — something new and exciting for young people in the BVI.
Rock climbing is an incredible activity for building focus, courage, strength, coordination, and self-belief. It teaches young people how to face a challenge, pause, think, plan their next move, and keep going even when something feels difficult.
This is why climbing is so powerful for learning. The skills developed on the wall are the same skills children need in academics and in life: problem-solving, resilience, patience, strategy, emotional control, and the confidence to try again.
Climbing is not about being the strongest or the fastest. It is about learning how to approach a challenge one step at a time.
For learners who think differently, need movement, or struggle with traditional academic confidence, climbing can offer a completely different route to success. It gives them a visible sense of progress: “I couldn’t do that before, and now I can.”
Our after-school clubs are designed to help young people grow beyond the page.
They offer adventure, challenge, connection, and practical learning in a safe and supportive environment. They help children become braver, calmer, more capable, and more confident — while having a brilliant time outdoors.
For parents, SATORI after-school clubs offer more than childcare. They offer purposeful, enriching experiences that support wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and real-world skills.
For young people, they offer something even better: the chance to feel strong, capable, adventurous, and proud of themselves.
